So. I mentioned in a post a few months ago that I was enlisting in the Navy and it might be a year-long wait, ect...

Apparently, it's not quite a year. More like eight weeks. Feb 23, to be exactly. So, I'll be gone for from then until at least mid-May, when I graduate boot camp.To be honest, I've been so busy getting my affairs in order and signing  so many documents that I haven't really had time for everything to sink it. This time next year, I'll be making enough to have more than five cents left over at the end of the month. I also want to hope and dream about things again. It's a damn good feeling.

With that announcement, my apologies go out to ladynathena, since I know I won't be able to write that Urahara/Kon fic I promised her before I go! This past week, I've spent maybe three hours online, and my brain was well frazzled before all this. Hopefully, I'll get it done by the end of next year.

And in case I'm not online tomorrow, I hope you all have a Marry Christmas! :)

The Navy? Wow. I've got a lot of family in various military groups (some in the army and air force, but I believe a couple of my cousins were/are in the Navy). But I wish you good luck and I hope boot camp goes by quickly and I think you're awesome for enlisting :D
