I'm back again. :)

If you've forgotten who I am, I'm not surprised. I know I've mentioned to a few of you that my Internet was abruptly cut off last summer--which given the start of a few new comms I had started, came at a pretty bad time. Comcast cost way too much to justify keeping it any longer. Now I've got AT&T, which in spite of the DSL horror stories that I've heard about in the past, runs like a dream.

So, a few thoughts and discoveries about things in the real world:

*Twlight sucks hard. Specifically, the first book is devoid of anything even almost redeeming. The second and third books have a few things in there that don't suck or could have been good ideas to read about separate from Bella and Edward's obsessive relationship. Actually, I think I'll make a post about the many improvements to this book later. As it stands, I feel sorry the trees used to print this series weren't put to better use as toilet paper, although I'm sure more than one copy of Breaking Dawn was.

*Reno 911 is funny as all shit. I mean, HI-FUCKING -LARIOUS.

*On the same token, why the hell did this show kill off half it's cast at the end of season five?! D:

*Before this month, I never really got what people mean by sexual chemistry. I mean, I knew what it was, but thought that if two people talked things out about what they wanted in a relationship, that it can be overcome. It can't. :shrugs:

*My Target sells Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist!!! *g* I'm not a fan of either series, but this can only mean good things that a big retailer is at least looking into anime at all. Please, please let Bleach be next, as long as it's not the filler season! I can't take the survey they print out on the receipts because I could get fired for it, but I'd encourage anyone that sees any anime at their nearby store to spread the love. And being placed in a drawing to win a $5000 gift card ain't too bad, either. ;)

*Note to a specific co-worker : YOU WERE A WASTE OF PAYROLL FUNDS GOOD RIDDANCE. I and the rest of Food Avenue were sick of you calling in every third shift. I especially have no love when I was usually the one that had to work YOUR shifts on MY fucking days off, you fucking twit. Is it a surprise that profits have gone up since they FINALLY shitcanned you?! I:d add *I hope I never work with you again,* but that would imply you ever did more than sit on your ass and collected a paycheck.

Co-worker #2+ No one liked you. NO one. Yopu don:t need to ask me and everyone else ten times a day when we got off our shift or beg someone you barely know for Bingo money, or whine to the managers when people didn:t feel like pretending to tolerate your stupidity. I mean, telling your immediate boss you:ve gone to starbucks to take a break from your register? No one misses you, either.

*Gaff is gone and I didn't get to say goodbye. I was dissapointed for all of two seconds, but let's be honest: The Godawful Fanfiction of the good old days of intellectual discussion and fun snark without all the vultures finding reasons to bash each other died with last board in 2006. That was the GAFF I loved, and the one we got after 2007 seemed to attract only the absolute worst elements. Harley was 10 percent of the problem--the other 90 percent was everyone else detrailing threads to respond to her stupity.

And honestly? Between GAFF and my experience at fanficrants, badfic just isn't fun to rip on anymore. The people at both places are just too damn quick to turn on each other and pick on everyone and everything for the hell of it and generate drama. I might as well snark at Myspace.

*I really should update "Sixteen," except I've written myself up into a hole, IMO, that's hard to get out. I wish I had more background in the music business so that I could try to tackle how to get a concert going.

*For that matter, I should finish the [livejournal.com profile] 10_cracks challenge, too, if my claim's still valid.

*The [livejournal.com profile] senkaimon comm needs its own identity besides a safe haven, especially now that soul_society has its own non-shipper based discussions back again. That and [livejournal.com profile] yazacapslock needs moar crack, too.

*The past can hurt, but one can either run from it or learn from it (O HI THAT LION KING). I think I've finally stopped running from it, and I've enjoyed the last four months more than the last seven years of my life for it.

Okay, I think that's everything. Hope to be updating this journal a bit more.

:)
