Honestly, I think my favorite character in this was the half hour we got of Scotty. "That's the first time I transported three people from two locations onto one transporter pad!" XD
The Kirk/McCoy interactions were great all the way around. From what little I've seen of TOS, it always seemed liek the writers loved showcasing K/S and Spock and McCoy clashing, but not Kirk and McCoy, so I found that interesting
I now have such a great idea for a Bleach crackfic in which Ichigo's serving incognito on a starship that gets attacked by the Borg, and decides "fuck these phasers, I'm a Soul Reaper" and kicks it old school with Zangetsu.
.....yeeeeeeah, my mind's an interesting place to be in.
